Day 14

What does success mean to you? Everyone has their own idea of what success is. Some people believe you need to be financially wealthy in order to be successful. While we will admit that it is better to be rich than to be poor, we also believe that success is a journey, not a destination.

We have encountered many people who have money but are unhappy or stressed. In fact, some have even asked the question “is that all there is?”. Even with all their wealth, they were unfulfilled. Yet, we have met many people who have a lot less money but are content and actually enjoy life.

Why do you suppose that is? We submit to you that the difference, in our experience, is in their relationship with God as a loving Heavenly Father. As we have pointed out before, God, not only, created everything but He set a plan in motion for man to succeed.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know the plans that I have for you, plans for peace and not disaster, reserving a future full of hope for you. Then when you call me, and come to plead with me, I will listen to you; when you seek me, you will find me. When you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me – it is Yahweh who speaks. (Yahweh is the old Hebrew name for Jehovah God – the Creator).

We would like to submit a little acronym about our title  S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

I realize that may seem a bit hoaky but it does help to emphasize the point in a way that’s somewhat easy to remember. I learned a long time ago that the easiest way to remember something is to put it into a song or a poem or an acronym.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines success as attaining what is desired or attempted. Simply Understanding Certain Conditions End Serious Situations is how we spell SUCCESS. The point here is that, in order to be successful, there must be a situation to overcome. It could be financial, social, emotional, mental, physical or spiritual and the problem is to get from where you are to where you want or need to be and, if the desire is serious enough, you will look for a way to overcome.

Every situation, no matter how severe, always has a solution or an end. When a person takes time to evaluate a given situation, it becomes obvious that certain conditions must come into play in order to solve the problem. The trick comes in learning how to understand what those conditions are and finding a simple way to put them into play.

As a rule, no matter what the situation is, if you simply take the time to understand what it is that’s keeping you from your goal, and then get understanding of how to proceed, you will, eventually, reach your goal.

Here is where most people miss it, none of us knows everything but there is knowledge available in numbers (of people, that is), and all you need to do is A.S.K. Remember, we discussed this before, Ask, Seek, Knock. Ask around, and you will eventually find someone who knows the answer.

For those of you seeking “True Success”, it has been our experience that most successful people, and people seeking success, either, are already in a church that preaches and practices the uncompromised Word of God, or end up there sooner or later, because the book of Proverbs tells us that the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (the word Fear here does not mean to be afraid of but to respect and honor Him – in other words to trust that His Word is True and to obey what he tells you).

I know most people are very apprehensive about going to church because they have had some bad experiences with churches or church going people; and we don’t blame them, because there have been many negative things happen, due to people not understanding their relationship with God properly. They find themselves under attack from evil sources and do or say things not sanctioned by God but leading others to believe that they are.

The most important thing to understand is that God loves you and wants to see you succeed in every way and, when you get together with His people, you will have access to a lot of knowledge and a lot of people who really love you and care for you and will help you in any way they can. If the church you go to does not do this, keep looking for one that does, even if you have to travel a bit to get there, it will be well worth it. Another very important thing is to get a good Bible that you can understand, such as the NIV or Good News and make sure, whatever is being taught lines up with what is written in the Bible.

Simply put, trust God to help you get from where you are to where you need to be and you will have SUCCESS.

REMEMBER: We are not and will not, ever, be asking you for any money, but…

In keeping with this theme, we trust you are succeeding in making friends and adding to your collection. In our last post we collected a total of $81.91 bringing us to $81.92 for today’s collection and that would bring us into a triple digit dollar value for a total of….$163.83 which means, next time, we will be looking for $163.84 to bring that total to…$327.67.

WOW! If you made it this far, congratulations, if not, don’t worry, do what you can, follow the teaching and Ask God for the increase.

Until next time, God Bless and catch ya on the flip side.
